Corporate Retreats

Whether you are doing strategic planning, team building, or management training let the North Fork Mountain Inn customize the experience while providing a venue that is perfect for letting your creative juices flow.  Our conference center is located on the property adjacent to the main lodge.  We can handle groups up to 50 people in our conference center with access to internet broadband.  Our Inn has 10 rooms with either a queen or king sized bed.  Some rooms have fireplaces and some have Jacuzzi tubs.  All rooms have a private bath. You will not have to worry about your meetings being interrupted by cell phones.  We do have traditional landlines that can be used for conference calling to include team members unable to travel to our Inn.

Begin each morning with a brisk hike up the mountain before you enjoy a gourmet breakfast.  We can customize the meals, snacks, agenda, team building activities, and recreational opportunities while creating an event and experience to remember.  With over 40 years combined experience in the corporate world, Ed and Carol have learned the corporate retreat essentials.  We have all the equipment you need for your conference including conference calling, data show projectors, projection screen, white boards, and needed office essentials.

Enjoy the scenic beauty and peaceful solitude of our area while enjoying the comforts of our “outpost of luxury in the wilderness”.   Pamper your team with the finest of food, wine, and accommodations while relaxing on our property that is bordered on two sides by the Monongahela National Forest.  Hike from the Inn 1.85 miles to the Number One Trail in West Virginia, the North Fork Mountain trail.  Other popular team activities include mountain biking, hiking, mountain running, spelunking, rafting, fishing, or just relaxing in a rocker while enjoying a novel from our eclectic library.  Some of the rooms include fire places, Jacuzzis, and all have private baths.  Unwind from the day’s activities in the hot tub on the deck, star gazing with our programmable telescope, or shooting pool in our game room.

Testimonial

We booked the whole inn for a midweek corporate retreat. Before we booked, when arranging meals, we asked about other restaurants in the area. Proprietress Carol told us (without arrogance) that she'd be happy to recommend other restaurants in the general region, but we'd probably find they'd deliver the best meal if we were looking for "fine dining." And she was right. Being fairly familiar with the area, I can say the two dinners we had were far beyond anything else I'd experienced in the region.

But of course, dinner was a small part of the reason for 5 stars.  For one thing Proprietor Ed is a master sommelier. Seriously. No really, it's true. Even though you'd be lucky to actually buy wine in a bottle smaller than your head within 50 miles of this place, and even though most restaurants in DC, Baltimore, or even Manhattan don't have an actual passed-the-test master sommelier ... here is Ed the master sommelier serving up a wine tasting just for fun.

The rooms are nice, spacious, clean. I lucked into the mini-suite, and it was refreshingly uncluttered, had a fireplace, a killer loft, etc.

Service was exemplary, Ed and Carol were most accommodating to any special request we had, and were consistently concerned with making sure we had everything we needed.

And I'm giving a rave review to the place in spite of the fact that I was inside working for the entire stay. If I could have actually hiked the feeder trail from the Inn up to the beautiful North Fork Mountain trail, this place would probably be pushing 6 stars .... - Scott Ryser, Yakabod
